We provide a single API payments platform that enables businesses to collect payments online and offline while allowing anyone to pay from their mobile money, local and international bills.

HalloPay is a payments company offering Cash and Card receipting services in Kenya. The Company utilizes Mobile POS Technology, Online and Mobile Applications to deliver multiple electronic services, Agency Banking, Mpesa to thousands of consumers through a well-established and trained agent/merchant network.

Services offered under the HalloPay brand include, mobile phone top-up, Agency Banking, utility bill payments, parking tickets, county revenue collection, among other services that can be delivered electronically. The Company has created a commission based model generated through income taken from each and every type of payment transaction carried on its terminals or other payment channels which is then spread down to its Agents.

Billy

Billy Ocharo Memba

Chief Executive Officer

Co-founder and Group CEO of HalloPay Billy is a career entrepreneur. Billy has over 15 years cognate experience within Banking and Payment systems solutions having worked in different capacities in Barclays Bank(ABSA), Family Bank and CFC Stanbic bank. He also boasts of being in the startup team of several startups including MobiKash and SafePay solutions.

A holder of BSC in Mathematics and Computer science among other training certifications, Billy carries the overall responsibility for creating, planning, implementing and integrating the strategic direction of the organization.

Billy is a passionate executor who believes in the ability of the African continent to take its place in the tech world. He enjoys working on truly transforming teams and individuals to realize their potential fully.

His work entails finding opportunities that drive operational excellence, building on our strategy and continued funding for the business.

Kelvin

Kelvin Waweru Kariuki

Chief Technical Officer

Co-founder and Group CTO of HalloPay Kelvin is a seasoned technology practitioner with a strong background in software engineering alongside world-class expertise in high throughput transaction systems and new-age enterprise computing technologies. Having worked for top financial tech (Fintech) companies in Kenya and abroad such Tracom and cellulant Kenya, Kelvin has been involved directly either as the Tech lead or in the development teams in providing top-notch solutions for several companies and banks such as:

• Stanbic- Mobile banking
• Cooperative bank (Kenya)– Agency and merchant banking
• Faulu bank – mobile banking
• Bank of Kigali (Rwanda) - Agency and merchant banking
• Cooperative bank of Oromia (Ethiopia)
• CRDB (Tanzania) - Agency and merchant banking
• Centenary Bank (Uganda) – merchant banking

Margaret

Margaret Gatuah

Finance Manager

Margaret has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economic and Statistic and Higher Diploma in Human Resources. Margaret brought to HalloPay a wealth of experience as noted from her previous engagements at Jackson Wetosi and Associates where she doubled as an Accountant and the auditor for over 4 years and having previously been a brand ambassador at Hallmark Marketing group. She is a commercially astute policymaker with a background in finance.

She joined HalloPay in 2019 as part of the business support services team- finance and has been an integral part of managing HalloPay’s expansion into various towns across Kenya.

In her current role as Finance Manager, Margaret is responsible for defining the commercial structure with customers, establishing various go-to-market routes and defining commercial partnerships.

Kelvin

Janet Nyamoita

Manager Customer Experience

Janet is a passionate leader, and she is excited about creating valuable enablers that will help consumers live their long desired dreams. Over the years Janet has gained special experience in; Customer Experience Management, Leadership and coaching of Sales and Marketing teams, pricing and business analytics, product design, development & Go-to-market excellence.

She joined HalloPay as a customer service executive in 2020 and is now the Manager, Customer Experience responsible for Marketing and Customer Success functions. She is leading the teams working towards building a reputable and trusted brand, driving revenue growth and achieving Customer Delight for HalloPay Customers across the country.
